The Adelaide branch of Shooloongkan officially opened its doors in Australia on February 2. Adelaide is the fifth largest city in Australia, the capital of the state of South Australia and ranked alongside Melbourne as one of the world's most livable cities for many consecutive years.
The interior decor of locations overseas all remain faithful to the traditions of Shooloongkan, namely the western Sichuan flair that has become very identifiable with the brand. Elements like giant red lanterns, wooden doorways and stone walls exude distinctive and colorful Chinese aura.
On the opening day, a traditional Chinese lion dance performance was staged as a sign of good auspices and the scene was full of bustle as the lion dance attracted many passers-by in the neighborhood, in addition to the throngs of diners that came to line up for the hot pot that countless others have raved about. During the dining process, numerous foreign diners gave two thumbs up for the "spiciness" from China and commended Shooloongkan for both the space and flavor.
The Adelaide store is the Shooloongkan brand's fifth official overseas location. Following the continual expansion of deployments overseas, Shooloongkan has been constantly accumulating experience, and formulated systematic store-establishment mechanism and scientific team-building and administration mechanism, which substantially shortened the pre-opening preparation time for foreign stores. In 2019, we will continue to expand the number of stores in regions like Southeast Asia, the Americas and Europe, so as to bring traditional Chinese tastes to all corners of the world.
